Notchtop Sunrise

Notchtop is a very iconic peak in RMNP and it was a enjoy to explore the idea of complementary colors and soft blending throughout the piece. (24×48)

Lone Rider

This is a second piece created with how much the City of Golden has encouraged cyclists and the USA Pro Challengeto be in town.

USA Pro Challenge for Golden

Pleased to announce that the City of Golden has asked for a painting for the USA Pro Challenge Cycling Stage as it passes through Golden on August 24th. Even though Golden is not a start or finish this year, the city will still have a party and expo. This painting will hopefully be used for shirts, and posters and such for the day.

Pieces done while up at RTLC

Lindsay and I have been up at Rainbow Trail Lutheran camp and doing pewter crosses with the senior youth. Here are several new pieces… Last nights sunset, Death and Rebirth of Aspens, and Flowers in Abstract.

Looking Back to the North

Looking back

Years ago my friend Nick and I attempted to cross the Sangre De Cristo mountains from North to South. I was digging through the old photos and found this. I don’t remember the name the peak but it sure is beautiful.

Taste of Creede

A big ‘thank you’ to everyone who came down to Creede, CO this paste Memorial Day weekend and watched the Quick-draw. It was a great weekend of seeing friends and family and getting to participate in the competition.

Sunrise on Long’s and Meeker

This paintings was a commission for my brother-in-law, Nick, for his and Mandy’s 12th anniversary. My father-in-law got up several days in a row and took pictures from their house in Longmont to take pictures for me of Meeker and Long’s Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. This piece was a lot of fun to create and many hours of blending (which can be a pain in acrylic).

Notchtop Peak is another Rocky Mountain classic peak that is somewhat beyond the daily visitor’s realm. I’ve visited once under heavy snow with my friend Dan and one day I’ll return to climb it.
