This piece was one those painting that has been long in the making. Many years ago I stood on top of the Sangre De Cristos with a friend as a part of a mountaineering trip to link all the peaks. This is based on those memories.
This new piece is on display at the Eddyline Restaurant and was an attempt to recreate the the beautiful textures and colors from a smaller version. Cascade Falls is located just west of Buena Vista as you head to towards the St. Elmo ghost town.
Painting at the Golden Fine Arts Fest.
This painting is a larger version (24×48″) of one that was created in memory of my dearly departed friend, Sue. This view of the Sangre De Cristo mountains was a constant companion when I lived in Alamosa.
